Holiday ART Club WK 2: July 14th - July 17th

Holiday ART Club!

Come to 1 or many days of creating this school holidays!

Half Day: 9am - 1pm
Full Day: 9am - 3:30pm
Age: Primary School Students
Location: My Art Studio in North Albury

Each day will consist of

Morning 9-1:

  • Learning a new art skill

  • Completing a major artwork

  • The opportunity to have some fun with a giant collaborative piece once finished.

  • Food breaks/game

Afternoon 1-3:30

  • Sculpture/making activity

Wear old clothes and bring a lunchbox, drink bottle and hat!

In each workshop will use a range of different mediums; including guided drawing, acrylic painting, pastels, paper crafts and more. Students will be able to experiment with different techniques and add their own creative touch to each piece. Check out the themes below:

Week 2 (14th July - 17th July): Winter Wonderland

Monday 14th Snow Fun – Snow Angels & Ice Skating

🎨 Painting Activity Acrylic Snow Angels Painting

  • Paint a child (themselves or a character) lying in snow creating snow angels.

  • Emphasis on body shape, texture of snow, and expressive brushwork using white and cool tones.

✂️ Making Activity: Magnetic Ice Skating Figurines

  • Construct small cardboard characters on “ice skates.”

  • Underneath the base, use magnets to allow them to move on a cardboard ice-rink

Tuesday 15th Northern Lights & Snow Globes

🎨 Painting Activity: Northern Lights over Snowy Mountains (Soft Pastels on Black Paper)

  • Blend soft pastels to create aurora effects across a night sky.

  • Add silhouettes of pine trees and snow-covered mountains for contrast.

✂️ Making Activity: DIY Snow Globes

  • Use clean jars, small figures, and glitter to create personalised snow globes.

Wednesday 16th Arctic Wildlife – Polar Bears & Suncatchers

🎨 Painting & Collage Activity: Guided Drawing: Polar Bear with Paper Collage

  • Children follow a guided drawing to create a polar bear in an arctic landscape.

  • Use painted papers and collage techniques to ‘colour’ it

✂️ Making Activity: Arctic Animal Suncatchers

  • Create animal outlines on black paper (e.g., polar bear, penguin, walrus).

  • Place on contact and decorate with sequins and tissue paper in cool tones to catch the light like icy stained glass.

Thursday 17th: Ski Village Adventure

🎨 Painting Activity: Textured Mountain/Ski Scene with Palette Knife

  • Use palette knives and thick acrylic paint to build a winter landscape with snowy mountains, ski runs, and a village.

  • Add small skiers and trees for detail and storytelling.

✂️ Making Activity: 3D Skiers Craft

  • Build skiers from cardboard, paddle pop sticks (as skis), and toothpicks (as ski poles).

  • Add pom-poms or felt for clothing/accessories, and place them on mini slopes or stands.

Capped at 14 students.

All classes are run by me, Georgia Keogh. I am an artist, currently studying my masters in primary teaching. And have been hosting painting parties for adults and kids for the past year.

Workshops are non-refundable, should something happen last minute and your child can no longer attend you may organise another child in their place.
