Hi, I’m Georgia! Owner, artist and teacher at The Paint Yard! I’m a self-taught artist who has always loved being outside, experimenting, building, and creating—something that started during my childhood on a farm near Holbrook. A pivotal moment for me was completing an 8-week acrylic art course at MAMA in 2020, which gave me the confidence to dive into my art journey. Since November ‘22, I’ve been hosting art classes and "Paint and Sip" events from my backyard studio in North Albury.

Working with kids is a huge joy for me, as their imaginations are boundless, and they embrace creativity without worrying about perfection. On the flip side, I love working with adults, encouraging them to paint freely without worrying about the end result. Seeing the genuine surprise on the faces of those who initially claim they "can’t draw or paint" is always my favourite moment!

I have a degree in Biomedical Science, a diploma in Travel and Tourism, and I’m currently pursuing my Master’s in Primary Teaching (yes, I know, I’ve studied a lot for someone who doesn't love it!). But after years of trying different things, I’ve truly found my passion in art.

My dream is to grow my art business while teaching part-time, ideally as a specialised primary art teacher. I also envision having a space where animals and creativity come together, but I’m not getting ahead of myself just yet!

I’m certified in Childcare First Aid and hold both NSW and VIC Working With Children Checks.

I’m still a kid at heart—I love to get messy, experiment with different materials, and just have fun with art. Right now, I offer paint parties for both adults and kids, after-school art classes for kids, school holiday workshops, and I sell my own original paintings and merchandise.
